Toronto officials say removing snow from streets now a priority after major storms | CBC News
Briefly

Toronto crews are now focusing on snow removal after two major winter storms. Initially engaged in salting and plowing, they are now using over 450 dump trucks to transport snow to designated areas. At a recent news conference, Barbara Gray highlighted the need for patience, noting that while crews work continuously, snow removal is a slow process that could take up to three weeks. Adjustments in parking and immediate areas around the city have been made to facilitate easier access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The city has more than 450 dump trucks as part of its snow removal operation and crews are working around the clock to manage the situation.
Barbara Gray, general manager of the city's transportation division, emphasized that 'even with our crews working 24/7, it is a slow operation' due to the volume of snow.
