The Ontario Provincial Police reported that a serious collision occurred on the westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Stevenson Road South, leading to significant lane closures.
Images from the scene depicted at least two vehicles that were severely damaged, clearly indicating the severity of the collision on the busy highway.
Despite the serious nature of the accident, there was initially no information regarding injuries, raising concerns about the victims' conditions as OPP begin their investigation.
By 9 a.m., OPP announced that all but one of the westbound lanes had reopened, facilitating the return to normal traffic flow after a period of disruption.
