Two cybercriminals, Tyrone Rose and Shamara Simmons, were arrested for stealing hundreds of tickets by exploiting a StubHub weakness. They face serious charges including grand larceny and computer tampering. The ticket theft took place between June 2022 and July 2023, with about 900 tickets sold for around $600,000. The duo used intercepted URLs to facilitate their scams and worked with accomplices. One accomplice is deceased, while another remains at large. Their court appearance is imminent, and the investigation is ongoing.
