Zayo secures anchor customer to accelerate expansion in AI corridors
Briefly

""AI demand is no longer theoretical. It's showing up as real customer requests in corridors where it's scaling fast," said Bill Long, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Zayo."
""We've been looking closely at how that demand is developing, where it's concentrating, and what it means for the network over the next several years.""
Zayo has secured an anchor customer to accelerate its network expansion, building 8,000 route miles to meet AI and cloud growth demands. This includes six new long-haul fiber routes and overbuilds of nine high-capacity corridors. The investment represents the largest in Zayo's history, with plans to construct over 15,000 route miles and approximately 20 million fiber miles by 2030. Construction is already underway, addressing the bandwidth gap created by increasing AI demand.
