Royal Caribbean's latest ship, Legend of the Seas, is set to launch in July 2026, becoming the third ship in the Icon Class fleet. Initially, it will operate Mediterranean cruises before relocating to Fort Lauderdale for year-round adventures in the Western and Southern Caribbean. With bookings opening on Feb. 20, this ship aims to excite travelers with new destinations. As highlighted by Kara Wallace, it promises both legendary experiences and the trademark visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay for its Caribbean journeys.
"There's going to be demand and excitement to bring a ship like Legend of the Seas to these legendary, monumental destinations," Kara Wallace, Royal Caribbean's Chief Marketing Officer, told Travel + Leisure.
"Of course, on every single Caribbean sailing, Legend will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay, our hallmark destination," Wallace added.
"I think you can fully expect that this won't be the only time [Legend will return to the Mediterranean]. I feel there's a big opportunity to expand on the program that we're building with Legend in the future," Wallace said.
"Like Icon and Star, Legend is the pinnacle, the peak, the ultimate family vacation," Wallace explained.
