6 Killed as Giant Waves Batter Australia

During the Easter holiday weekend, Australia's east coast was struck by towering waves that resulted in at least six fatalities, primarily in New South Wales. According to Royal Life Saving Australia, 128 people drowned in New South Wales in 2024, with around half of those occurring along coastlines.
