A man went missing after failing to return from a fishing trip to Lough Corrib on May 3rd, 2025. The alarm was raised around midnight, prompting an extensive search led by the Irish Coast Guard, which received support from local gardaà and rescue agencies. Helicopters Rescue 115 and 118 were deployed to assist in the search operation. As of now, An Garda SÃochána has not released any further information regarding the ongoing efforts to locate the missing person.
