Coast Guard and gardai searching for fisherman missing at Lough Corrib

A man went missing after failing to return from a fishing trip to Lough Corrib on May 3rd, 2025. The alarm was raised around midnight, prompting an extensive search led by the Irish Coast Guard, which received support from local gardaí and rescue agencies. Helicopters Rescue 115 and 118 were deployed to assist in the search operation. As of now, An Garda Síochána has not released any further information regarding the ongoing efforts to locate the missing person.
The alarm was raised around midnight last night after the man, who had gone fishing at Lough Corrib yesterday, did not return.
