Andrew Searle and Dawn Kerr, a British couple in their 60s, were found dead in their home in France, leading police to investigate potential murder-suicide motives. Kerr was discovered partly undressed with severe head trauma, while Searle was found hanged. The family has requested privacy as they mourn, with connections to actor Callum Kerr acknowledged. French prosecutors confirmed that no evidence points to third-party involvement and that the couple had lived in Aveyron for five years, highlighting their expatriate status and Searle’s professional background as a fraud investigator.
At this time, Callum Kerr and Amanda Kerr are grieving the loss of their mother, Dawn Searle, while Tom Searle and Ella Searle are mourning the loss of their father, Andrew Searle.
According to Searle's LinkedIn page, he was a retired fraud investigator specialising in financial crime prevention who worked at companies including Standard Life and Barclays.
French prosecutors issued a statement in February saying: The two deceased persons, a man and a woman, were the owners of the house in which their bodies were discovered.
Police launched an investigation to establish whether the couple died as a result of a murder-suicide, or if a third party was involved.
