A pedestrian in his 30s was struck by a vehicle on the R556 Tralee/Abbeydorney Road near Ardfert village on Monday, March 2, between 7:30pm and 9:30pm. The driver left the scene before gardaí arrived. The victim was transported to University Hospital Kerry where he remains in critical condition. The scene was examined and the road has since reopened. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage from road users in the area during the incident timeframe.
