Man (70s) dies in Wexford road crash on busy main road

A serious traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred around 5:15 p.m. on the N25 near Killinick Village, resulting in the death of a male driver in his 70s. His body was taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post mortem. Fortunately, there were no further injuries reported among other drivers, who only required checks on the scene. The incident caused major traffic congestion, prompting gardaí to advise motorists to avoid the area while a stop/go system was implemented, with full road closure scheduled for investigation.
The tragic incident caused major backlogs on the main N25 Rosslare Road and gardaí immediately issued a request for motorists to avoid the area.
A stop/go system was implemented by gardaí at the scene and will remain in place overnight, however, the road will be fully closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
