Man guilty of strangling partner, 80, to death in appalling' Kilburn murder
Briefly

Steven Clark, 50, was found guilty of murdering 81-year-old Ursula Uhlemann in her Queens Park flat in March 2024. He choked her to death while lying to police about his involvement. DCI Wayne Jolley expressed condolences for the victim's family. Following a 999 call from Clark, emergency personnel found Ms. Uhlemann unresponsive, and although paramedics attempted resuscitation, she was declared dead soon after due to neck compression. Clark's inconsistent statements led to his arrest on March 22, 2024, and he has a history of previous abuse towards her. Sentencing is set for February 21, 2024.
Clark had consistently lied about his role in Ms Uhlemann's murder, denying any involvement whatsoever. I would like to thank the numerous witnesses who assisted investigators in building a picture of the events leading up to the killing.
Ms Uhlemann's life was taken in appalling circumstances. In light of Clark's conviction, our thoughts are with those that knew her.
