Mother of Southport attack victim praises local community for their support

In her first interview since the attack, Alice's mother, Alex Aguiar, expressed gratitude for the local community's overwhelming support, saying, "Everyone has been incredible, people who don't know us and we're not from here and we've got so much help."
Alex Aguiar fondly remembered the quality family time spent together, stating, "We were always happy to be us three, we had everything so what else could we have asked for?"
Recalling Alice's passion for dance and performance, Alex mentioned that her daughter started ballet at 16 months and was very active in various dance and choir classes.
The Aguiar family expressed a deep connection with Southport, feeling at home despite their origins. Alex noted, "We feel at home and we don't feel like we have to go back."
