The Malaysian government has approved a new search effort for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 in collaboration with Texas-based Ocean Infinity. The search will occur in a new 15,000-square-kilometer area under a "no-find, no-fee" contract, meaning Ocean Infinity will only receive payment if wreckage is discovered. The Boeing 777 disappeared in March 2014 with 239 people aboard. Although previous searches yielded no results, Ocean Infinity claims to have improved its technology and targeted the most likely search site, aiming to bring closure to families of the missing passengers.
Cabinet ministers agreed to terms for a "no-find, no-fee" contract with Ocean Infinity to resume the search operation at a new 15,000-square-kilometer site in the ocean.
Despite previous unsuccessful searches, Ocean Infinity has improved technology and narrowed the search area, emphasizing a commitment to locate the wreckage and provide closure for the families of passengers.
