Mourad Aid, 41, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison for stealing a suitcase from Brittny Button, wife of F1 driver Jenson Button. The theft occurred outside St Pancras station while the couple was loading luggage into a car. CCTV captured Aid entering and exiting the station with the stolen goods. Aid was arrested shortly after in the Hatton Gardens area. Following the incident, Brittny expressed feelings of unsafety in the UK, while the police emphasized their commitment to addressing such crimes swiftly.
A thief has been jailed after he stole a suitcase containing designer bags and jewellery worth 250,000 from Jenson Button's wife. Mourad Aid, 41, stole the suitcase from Brittny Button outside St Pancras station.
Following the incident Britnny, a model and interior designer, said she has no interest in returning to the UK because it feels unsafe.
Investigating officer DC Michael Taylor said: Aid acted brazenly and opportunistically to steal a suitcase from complete strangers, causing them considerable anxiety and worry over their belongings.
