Following her death, a man known to her, Paul Antony Butler, was arrested for murder. Friends and former students have expressed their shock and sorrow, praising her kindness and impact as a mentor. Ms. Butler had a significant career in nursing education, ultimately becoming associate head of the School for Internationalisation.
