The Royal Borough of Greenwich is engaging residents and local businesses in a consultation to discuss future development of the Woolwich Barracks site after the Ministry of Defence revealed plans to sell it. Council leader Anthony Okereke expressed the borough's commitment to preserving its military heritage while ensuring any new developments benefit the community. He highlighted the continuous presence of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery at the barracks, assuring that heritage would remain central to the development strategy.
