During the arrest, Frank E. Tyson repeatedly said he could not breathe, but police waited about seven minutes before moving him onto his side.
Mr. Tyson's brother stated, 'It's not the win that we was looking for... But we're going to take this small win and just build upon it.'
Supporters of the Tyson family have demanded the officers be fired and that Canton Police adopt a de-escalation policy and mandatory implicit bias training.
The Stark County prosecuting attorney confirmed that the grand jury chose to indict the officers on a charge that carries a sentence of up to three years.
