All lanes blocked at I-280 in San Mateo Co. as crews battle 4-alarm wildfire, CAL FIRE says

Lanes on both sides of I-280 between Farm Hill Boulevard and Edgewood Road were shut down due to a four-alarm fire in San Mateo County. Firefighters responded quickly and stopped forward progress on the northbound side around 5:40 p.m. Crews continued to battle flames on the southbound side while an air attack dropped fire retardant. CAL FIRE dispatched multiple crews and estimated the blaze at two to three acres around 5 p.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Drivers were advised to use US-101 as an alternate route.
