After lightning sparked fires across the Sierra Nevada foothills, evacuations were ordered Tuesday for several communities along Highway 4. Parts of Vallecito, Douglas Flat and Murphys were included in the evacuation order for the 2-7 Fire, which by midafternoon Tuesday had burned 500 acres, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Another evacuation order covered a less populated area near Don Pedro Reservoir, where the 6-5 Fire had burned 3,000 acres.

A vegetation fire, referred to as the Real fire, burned 7 acres in Jurupa Valley, threatening structures and prompting evacuations.

Dramatic video footage captured by KCRA 3 News showed smoke pouring from the building's roof before a massive explosion created a fireball that seemed to engulf much of the warehouse.

Cal Fire has issued evacuation orders for the Ranch Place fire in the East San Jose foothills, impacting specific areas as the blaze spreads.

Crews are currently battling a tier 3 brush fire in East San Jose, named the Ranch Fire, which was reported around 4 p.m. on Ranch Place.

The Dino Fire ignited just before 3 p.m. on eastbound Highway 152 at Dinosaur Point Road and had consumed 20 acres by 3:40 p.m.

Cal Fire personnel successfully rescued three individuals who were trapped in a drainage pipe under the U.S.-Mexico border wall, thanks to swift action.
