Alligator flees middle school petting zoo, is found at school door 11 days later

Students were treated to a petting zoo at a Kansas City middle school, including an alligator named Alex whose enclosure was found empty, triggering a search operation.

Despite extensive search efforts involving animal control services, firefighters, and drones, the missing alligator named Alex remained elusive for 11 days after disappearing from a school event.
