Protesters across the U.S. mobilized on a national day of action called by group 50501 to shut "ICE Out of Everywhere." Demonstrations included calls to boycott retailers and businesses perceived to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In Washington, D.C., a coalition picketed Target stores; Target is headquartered in Minneapolis. Free DC demanded Target call for an independent investigation into the killings of Renee Macklin Good and Alex Pretti and publicly affirm solidarity with immigrants. About two dozen protesters marched in freezing temperatures, carrying signs and chanting boycott slogans while organizers emphasized sustained efforts.
