Boy Scout rescued from Mount Washington after allergic reaction
A 15-year-old Boy Scout experienced a significant allergic reaction after reaching the summit of Mount Washington on Sunday afternoon. New Hampshire Fish and Game officers were notified of the medical emergency around 1 p.m. The teen was hiking with a group of Boy Scouts from Connecticut. The group rendered first aid and alerted a Mount Washington State Park employee, who brought the boy into a warm building. Rescue crews ascended the Mount Washington Auto Road and arrived at the summit shortly after 3 p.m. The teen was loaded into a Snowcat, driven down to an awaiting ambulance, and transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for further care. All involved parties were prepared, enabling a successful rescue.
"A 15-year-old Boy Scout was rescued near the summit of Mount Washington Sunday when he experienced a "significant" allergic reaction after climbing to the top, New Hampshire officials said. New Hampshire Fish and Game officers were notified of the medical emergency around 1 p.m. and learned that the teen was hiking with a group of Boy Scouts from Connecticut, the department said in a news release."

Authorities loaded the teen into a Snowcat and drove him back down the mountain, where an ambulance was waiting to bring him to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for further care."
