"When officers arrived, they heard a fight inside the residence. They forced entry and found the adult son assaulting his father. An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the son was struck by gunfire and taken into custody, police said. Officers provided aid to the suspect and the victim, who was suffering from apparent stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced both the father, believed to be 62-years-old, and the 40-year-old son dead at the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz said."
