Camp counselor in Plymouth accused of taking 'inappropriate photos' of child at camp
Briefly

Bradley Collins, 20, pleaded not guilty to charges including indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, photographing sexual or intimate parts of a child, and child in nude, lascivious pose/exhibit. The alleged incident occurred Aug. 11 at the Plymouth Boys & Girls Club summer camp. Plymouth police were notified Aug. 12. Investigators found that Collins had inappropriately photographed a young child at the camp and instructed the child not to tell anyone. Collins initially denied taking photos, later acknowledged taking photos, and changed his account multiple times during police interviews. The Club terminated his employment and permanently barred him from all programming. The Executive Director said the conduct violated the Club's mission and core values, noted the incident was a first in his 20 years, and cited violation of the Club's Rule of Three designed to prevent one-on-one contact.

Investigators found that Collins had "inappropriately photographed" a young child while they were at the summer camp, and told the child not to tell anyone, according to the DA. Collins allegedly changed his version of events multiple times while speaking to Plymouth police. He initially denied taking photos during the incident, then later said he did take photos, the DA said.
The Plymouth Boys and Girls Club terminated Collins' employment and permanently barred him from all programming and facilities, Executive Director Garreth Lynch said in a statement. "Any behavior that jeopardizes a child's safety is a direct contradiction of our mission and core values. We will continue to offer our full cooperation to the authorities as needed," Lynch said. In a letter sent to families, Lynch said this incident was a first in his 20 years at the Club.
