"Hailey Okula, an ER nurse who was known on Instagram as Nurse Hailey, died earlier this year from cardiac arrest due to an amniotic fluid embolism, which occurred shortly after giving birth to her and her husband's son, Crew. In a new post he shared on his late wife's Instagram on Aug. 27, the widower shared black-and-white footage from a nursery camera caring for their son and a caption that revealed the depth of his grief."
Hailey Okula, an ER nurse known on Instagram as Nurse Hailey, died earlier this year from cardiac arrest caused by an amniotic fluid embolism shortly after delivering her son, Crew. Her husband, Matthew Okula, an engineer with the Los Angeles Fire Department, has been caring for Crew alone while sharing footage and candid captions on Hailey's Instagram. On Aug. 27 he posted black-and-white nursery-camera video of him rocking Crew and described nights of crying and longing for Hailey. He previously announced her death in April with a montage and called her his "everything" and "a fighter." Followers have offered condolences and support.
