Novato police arrested Benjamin Douglas Buckley, 39, for allegedly kidnapping a 3-year-old child in the Hamilton neighborhood on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Martin Drive during a family dispute. Buckley took the child and was later apprehended after exiting a vehicle on Center Road. The child was reunited with relatives unharmed. Buckley was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping, willful cruelty to a child, and cruelty to an elder or dependent adult, with bail set at $500,000.
