Jesus Ricardo Patron Sanchez, a 39-year-old Mexican drug cartel boss, was extradited to the United States and is now imprisoned in Brooklyn. Identified as head of the H-2 organization, part of the Sinaloa cartel, Sanchez has been linked to trafficking vast quantities of heroin, cocaine, and meth into the US since at least 2013. He took over the operation after his brother's death in 2017. Federal prosecutors emphasize their commitment to dismantling cartel operations and holding leaders accountable for the violence and destruction they cause.
"Sanchez was one of the principal leaders of the H-2 Drug Trafficking Organization, a brutally violent transnational criminal organization that flooded American streets with dangerous drugs and protected its operations through murder and corruption."
"This office is committed to working with its federal and international partners to bring leaders of cartels and transnational criminal organizations to justice in the United States and to hold them accountable for the death and destruction they have unleashed here and abroad."
