New National Geographic docuseries takes unprecedented look back at Oklahoma City bombing
Briefly

On April 19, 1995, the Oklahoma City bombing claimed 168 lives, including 19 children, marking it as the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history. National Geographic's new docuseries, 'Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day in America,' offers an unprecedented examination of the incident, featuring survivor Amy Downs, who was trapped in debris and reflects on the support she received. The series aims to illuminate the stories of those affected and highlight the sense of community that emerged following the tragedy, including the eventual arrest of perpetrator Timothy McVeigh. It premieres on April 2 on National Geographic.
This attack is still the deadliest domestic terror attack in the U.S. to date, but may not necessarily know all the details of it.
I hope people will listen to the stories of these ordinary people... they simply went to work that day and found themselves in an extraordinary situation.
I remember looking out of the window... seeing all of the cars driving with headlights on... as a symbol of love and hope and support.
