Parents mourn son, 14, after his death in Stockton mass shooting
"a bright, loved, and promising young soul whose life was taken far too soon by a senseless act of violence."
"in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"We were planning for where he was going to go to high school; now we're planning his funeral,"
"I'm just upset right now. My brother died in my arms,"
Four people were killed and 15 others wounded after an individual opened fire at a toddler's birthday party in a Stockton banquet hall. Victims included 14-year-old Amari Peterson, two children ages 8 and 9, and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta. Amari was an eighth-grade student and athlete who was not involved in gang activity. A godmother described Amari as a bright, loved, and promising young soul. The shooting appeared targeted, no arrests have been made, and the FBI is investigating with a $50,000 reward offered for information leading to an arrest.
