Stanley recalls lids of 2.6 million mugs after dozens of burn injuries
Briefly

Stanley is recalling 2.6 million travel mugs due to reports of faulty lids causing burn injuries. 91 incidents, including 38 injuries, prompted the recall.
The recalled products include 12- and 16-ounce Switchback cups and 12-, 16-, and 20-ounce Trigger Action mugs, sold from June 2016 onwards.
Stanley officials identified that lid threads can shrink with heat and torque, which leads to detachments posing a burn hazard to users.
Customers are advised to stop using the affected mugs immediately and can register for a free replacement lid on Stanley's recall webpage.
