Two skiers became lost on Mt. Moosilauke on Saturday after low visibility and high winds produced blizzard-like conditions. New Hampshire Fish and Game received a call around 5 p.m. reporting the skiers were off trail. Conservation Officers and Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue deployed snowmobiles and traveled four miles up the mountain. Rescuers then hiked about 1.5 miles through wooded terrain on snowshoes to reach the skiers. Officers reached the pair at 11 p.m. and returned them safely by 2 a.m.
