Florida State University student Stephanie Horowitz, a survivor of the 2018 Parkland shooting, utilized her experience to guide classmates to safety during a recent campus shooting. During a bowling class, she recognized signs of danger when she saw students fleeing. Acting quickly, she directed her class to a back room, recalling her own trauma as she ensured the safety of her students, despite grappling with anxiety from her past experience. Horowitz's leadership and quick thinking helped avert further panic in a dire situation.
