The article discusses controversies surrounding Mike Waltz, a cabinet member within the Trump administration, including mishandling of communications and potential sharing of classified information. Waltz denied familiarity with Goldberg, despite photographic evidence, and offered a vague explanation regarding contact confusion. Contradictory statements from Goldberg indicate tensions over their relationship. The Trump administration claimed no classified war plans were shared with Goldberg, yet evidence suggests otherwise. The White House maintains the issue is resolved, asserting steps taken to prevent future incidents, though scrutinies continue over Waltz's actions and the use of personal email for government communication.
I'm sure everybody out there has had a contact where it said one person and then a different phone number... if you have somebody else's contact, and then somehow it gets sucked in, it gets sucked in.
This isn't The Matrix. Phone numbers don't just get sucked into other phones. I don't know what he's talking about there.
I'm not going to comment on my relationship with Mike Waltz beyond saying I do know him and have spoken to him.
This case has been closed here at the White House as far as we are concerned. There have been steps made to ensure that something like that can obviously never happen again.
