Kristen Battocletti pleaded guilty to using a church credit card to make over 600 transactions, totaling $220,000 on TikTok Coins and $80,000 on personal expenses.
Battocletti linked the church Mastercard to her Apple Pay, gradually stealing the money while being responsible for parish bookkeeping, sending $70,000, $105,000, and $75,000 on TikTok Coins over three months.
TikTok Coins are a digital currency for viewers to send to content creators as virtual gifts. Battocletti's actions were discovered as others at the church noticed missing funds.
