A Busy Political Week Prompted a Wide-Ranging "Real Time"
Briefly

In this week's episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, retired general Stanley McChrystal discussed his new book On Character and criticized Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's position on diversity and transgender service members. McChrystal emphasized the practicality of military personnel, arguing against the narrow definitions of warrior identity. The panel also included Peter Hanby and Scott Jennings, with Maher challenging Jennings' views on immigration and constitutional law, emphasizing the true intentions of the Constitution regarding individual rights.
If someone is transgender, no one cares. We sometimes make it two-dimensional, in the idea that you have got to be a certain profile to be a warrior.
They were still arguing about it 10 years after women were in combat, and doing very well. Most of the people who are doing the military's business are very practical people.
So your view is that 'bad dudes' can be sent to a foreign prison? That's not what the Constitution says.
In my experience, diversity was a good thing. I just have a different view of the military than Secretary Hegseth.
