Candace Owens indicated she would not attend an in-person event aimed at addressing conspiracy theories she promoted regarding Charlie Kirk's assassination. Charlie Kirk Show producer Blake Neff criticized Owens for amplifying lies and innuendo with reckless disregard for the truth. Neff said Owens has leveled numerous allegations against people at Turning Point USA, Turning Point Action, and show staff, accusing close friends and dedicated employees and effectively suggesting widespread complicity in Kirk's death. Owens reportedly claimed the murder had to be approved by Kirk's friends and suggested those friends might target her for knowing the truth. Neff announced a livestream in Phoenix for 4 pm Eastern on December 15 to rebut the claims and invited Owens to participate.
