Harry Enten, CNN's senior data correspondent, highlighted President Trump's historically low net approval ratings during his presidency. In a discussion with co-anchor Kate Bolduan, Enten noted that Trump currently has only a plus one net approval rating, which is significantly lower than the average of plus 27 points typical for presidents at this stage. Enten emphasized that Trump's economic approval ratings are even worse, revealing a net negative score of minus four points, underscoring the challenges Trump faces in securing public support.
The only person who does worse than Trump does right now with a plus one net approval rating is himself back in 2017 when he was at minus eight.
Donald Trump is doing historically awful. The average president at this point is plus 27 points on their net approval rating.
On the economy, he can’t even beat himself. This is historically the worst going back in polling at this point in a presidency.
