Husband of Dead Congressional Staffer Says He Has More Texts From House Republican That Show How Gross of a Man He Is'
"He runs his whole campaign on family values, and he runs everything saying that he's some family man. He's actually quite a sick man. I have all the messages that's shared between them two. And the things that I just released a tip of the iceberg of the things that this man was telling her."
"The man has no values, Aviles said. He runs his whole campaign on family values, and he runs everything saying that he's some family man. He's actually quite a sick man. I have all the messages that's shared between them two."
"I released just what was enough information for the people to understand who this person is and who they're dealing with. Aviles went on to say that he does not intend to release all the texts because some are salacious and graphic, and that he wants to protect his son."
Regina Ann Santos-Aviles, a staffer for Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), died by suicide in September after dousing herself in gasoline. Her husband, Adrian Aviles, stated she admitted to an affair with Gonzales beginning in May 2024. Aviles claims to possess numerous text messages from Gonzales, including requests for explicit photos. Published texts show Gonzales asking Santos-Aviles to send a sexy picture, which she refused, stating the behavior went too far. Though some House Republicans have called for Gonzales's resignation, he has refused. Aviles appeared on CNN stating Gonzales is a sick man who contradicts his public family values messaging. Aviles indicated he possesses additional graphic messages but withholds them to protect his son.
