In Gaza we watched Iranian missiles go by, heading for Israel. That war is over it seems ours will never end | Hassan Abo Qamar
Briefly

Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel after a 12-day conflict, marking the second war under his watch this year. Despite this ceasefire, the situation in Gaza remains dire, with no relief or change for its inhabitants. Many in Gaza, observing the conflict amidst harsh conditions, questioned whether Trump would address the ongoing issues there while he claimed progress was being made. Despite declaring the strikes against Iran a success, the assault on Gaza continues unabated, and Trump has been criticized for enabling this escalation rather than providing support or resolution for Gaza.
Even cut off from the internet, people found ways to follow the news on the radio, or by catching weak phone signals by climbing to high rooftops or walking near the sea... Many wondered if Trump... would seize the moment to stop not only war on Iran but also the genocide in Gaza.
For 12 days, we finally witnessed a real power in the world enter a war with Israel... But does that really make any difference for us in Gaza?
Trump declared the strikes a complete success against a nuclear threat, even as international inspectors disagreed. The assault on Iran has ended. The assault on Gaza... hasn't.
Trump has brought no change for us. No relief. Only escalation. In just six months, he has failed... to end the war in Gaza.
