Jen Psaki, the former White House Press Secretary, will begin hosting a new 9 p.m. show on MSNBC starting Tuesday. This move comes as the network restructures its schedule, leading to the departure of Joy Reid from her 7 p.m. slot, which she has held since 2020. Alex Wagner, who previously occupied the 9 p.m. hour, will stay as a correspondent. Rachel Maddow is expected to return soon for one night a week, following a long-standing presence in the prime-time slot.
Ms. Psaki, 46, will host a show at 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, replacing Alex Wagner, a longtime political journalist who has anchored that hour since 2022.
The network is canceling the 7 p.m. program anchored by Joy Reid, who has anchored that time-slot since 2020. Ms. Reid will be leaving the network.
