"Do you need a job now? Are you a big, tough guy? Tough enough for the army or police? [Poehler: No!] But do you take supplements that you bought at a gas station? Do you like to use zip ties because people in your life don't trust you with keys? Then buckle up and slap on some Oakleys, big boy. Welcome to ICE."
"Thanks for the free advertisement @NBCSNL Get Criminals Out. Make History. Save America. https://t.co/nZkBEj3GGi pic.twitter.com/0If5QGaX2N"
"My name is Pam Bondi, I spell it with an 'I' because I ain't gonna answer any of your questions."
DHS posted an ICE recruitment clip that incorporated a segment from an SNL sketch while omitting parts of Fey's punchline. The omitted lines mocked stereotypical ICE recruits and included a long Fey joke highlighting zip ties, Oakleys and gas-station supplements. Pamela Bondi reacted angrily in related exchanges, snapping "Don't call me a liar!" The SNL sketch spoofed Bondi's awkward Senate oversight hearing, portraying her as evasive and combative while parodying exchanges with senators. The recruitment tweet framed the clip as a free advertisement and used slogans urging removal of criminals and patriotic messaging.
