"The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about Tariffs. The ad was for $75,000. They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts, TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED."
"CANADA CHEATED AND GOT CAUGHT!!! THE UNITED STATES IS WEALTHY, POWERFUL, AND NATIONALLY SECURE AGAIN, ALL BECAUSE OF TARIFFS! THE MOST IMPORTANT CASE EVER IS IN THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!"
President Donald Trump declared an end to all trade negotiations with Canada after objecting to an Ontario television advertisement he said fraudulently used Ronald Reagan to criticize U.S. tariffs. Trump said the Ronald Reagan Foundation announced the ad was fake and noted the $75,000 advertisement was intended to influence U.S. court decisions, including the Supreme Court. Trump emphasized that tariffs are vital to U.S. national security and the economy. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed plans to double exports outside the United States in response to tariff threats. The Reagan Foundation said the Ontario ad misrepresents Reagan.
