FCC Chairman Brendan Carr discussed an investigation into Disney regarding potential racial discrimination within their hiring practices, particularly connected to their DEI policies. He indicated that if the probe finds evidence of discriminatory hiring practices, this could affect Disney's qualifications to hold broadcast licenses. Disney has faced scrutiny over these practices, with claims that they may have implemented quotas based on race and gender. The investigation raises significant implications for corporate practices under federal law, particularly regarding Equal Employment Opportunity rules.

The Commission does not revoke licenses for broadcast stations simply because a political candidate disagrees with or dislikes content or coverage.
We have evidence that they put quotas in place based on specific demographics. If the evidence does in fact play out... it could fundamentally go to their character qualifications to even hold a license.
This is all about bullying and intimidation... This is about the hiring practices and their employment practices.
