The Trump administration released thousands of previously classified documents regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy, following a 2017 executive order. The documents, made available on the National Archives website, include over 31,000 pages with more expected in the future. Despite the official conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, many Americans remain convinced of conspiracies surrounding JFK's death. Experts are currently analyzing the new material, acknowledging that it will take considerable time to understand its implications and contents fully.
Several JFK experts said they had teams already combing through the new material, and it would take time to assess the flood of files.
"We have a lot of work to do for a long time to come, and people just have to accept that," Larry J. Sabato said.
