Trump says he invited long-time critic Bill Maher to White House as a favor to buddy Kid Rock
Briefly

President Trump revealed on Truth Social that he invited Bill Maher to the White House at the request of Kid Rock, despite Maher's long-standing criticisms of him. Trump expressed his reservations about the meeting, predicting Maher's behavior would align with the Democrats who protested his Congress speech. Trump mentioned the meeting could be either enjoyable or contentious and asserted he would keep followers informed. Maher, on his podcast, defended his willingness to meet Trump, dismissing criticism from the left as a game of exclusion and insisting on open dialogue.
I really didn't like the idea much, and don't like it much now, but thought it would be interesting. The problem is, no matter how much he likes your Favorite President, ME, he will publicly proclaim what a terrible guy I am, etc.
There will be lots of people on the left who will be like, 'How dare you talk to this man.' It's like f-k you, I'm not playing this game that you mean girls play.
