"The intervention reinterprets these elements through spatial modification, concealing the column while allowing it to organize the internal scale and transforming the window into a calibrated light source."
"Walls and ceilings are clad in acoustic materials, creating a controlled and tactile interior condition that alters sound, light, and spatial perception upon entry."
"Despite its limited footprint, the room accommodates multiple uses through a combination of open floor area and integrated stepped seating, supporting meetings, presentations, and informal gatherings."
"Different spatial zones are defined through scale and light, with a recessed niche providing a focused setting for individual use or small conversations."
Ramos Alderete Studio designed the Relax Room by converting two meeting rooms into a space for contemplation and informal interaction. The design features curved geometry, controlled lighting, and acoustic materials, creating an immersive environment. The original narrow layout was modified to conceal structural elements and enhance spatial experience. The room accommodates various uses with integrated seating and defined zones for individual and collective activities. Lighting is crucial, organized through elements like an oculus, enhancing the overall atmosphere.
