The Fest has run intermittently for years and is offering 36 free demos until the end of December, mostly for Xbox consoles. ID@Xbox promotes and supports indie teams that might otherwise be lost on the Xbox Series store pages and reaches players beyond Game Pass. Many demos do not appear in the console UI and must be found by searching each title individually. Nine standout demos are identified as especially worth trying, including Cash Cleaner Simulator and Deck of Haunts.
