Rumors regarding a remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag are gaining traction in 2025, thanks in part to voice actor Matt Ryan's suggestive comments. Although Ubisoft has not confirmed the remake, Ryan's hinting during a fan event stirred interest. Additional speculation arose from a live-stream discussion from Pure Arts, which noted Edward Kenway's unexpected absence from their statue lineup but suggested that something related to Edward, possibly a remake, is forthcoming. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot previously acknowledged several remakes in development for the series, aiming to modernize classic titles.
