The Russo brothers are releasing a prequel game titled The Electric State: Kid Cosmo to complement their upcoming film, The Electric State, on Netflix. This bite-sized, narrative-driven puzzle game focuses on characters Michelle and Chris, providing a five-year timeline that deepens character development beyond the film's two-hour runtime. Exclusive to Netflix subscribers, Kid Cosmo launches on March 18, shortly after the film's debut on March 14. With $400 million in funding, AGBO aims to further integrate gaming into its film and TV projects for richer storytelling.
There's just a limit in a two-hour medium to how much ground you can cover, in terms of story. So the game does hold something very special in terms of like, who these people are, what their relationship is to one another, and how it evolves and grows over time.
A very important aspect to the company's mission is to have its film and TV projects work hand-in-hand with our gaming efforts.
Every idea has a different way that it can best be explored and best be brought to audiences or gamers for an experience. So we really like to tailor everything to the creative idea that we're exploring.
