CD Projekt Red has announced that the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, tentatively titled Cyberpunk 2, is now in pre-production. Although the project is gaining momentum, CDPR co-CEO Michał Nowakowski has indicated that it may take several years, with an estimated release between 2030 and 2031. The sequel is expected to launch on next-gen consoles, including the PlayStation 6. Meanwhile, the company is focusing on The Witcher 4, while Cyberpunk 2 aims to feature more realistic crowds and possibly introduce a second city beyond Night City.
